Practical Planting

As you drive down the road you may see many houses with beautiful lawns and beautiful landscaping. Most of the landscaping however is mostly for looks with little return on investment on the owners part.

Well what if I told you that you could have beautiful landscaping around your home that you are able to reap benefits from as well.

From mint, to raspberries, to decorative grasses, Here are some plants to consider.

Edibles:

Globe Artichokes

As you can see there is a wide variety of plants to choose from. There are a lot more plants to consider that I have not listed as a plants ability to grow depends on the region in which you reside.
I'm not able to grow Coconut trees in Ohio. Well I probably could but it would be very difficult. When you are practically planting you need to figure out what is native to where you live, those plants will flourish the best. So the next time you go to your local nursery try to think, what can this plant provide to me other than just it's pretty looks? How can this plant help better my self sustainability?
